TORONTO, ON--(Marketwired - March 05, 2016) - Today, March 5, an all-female Porter Airlines crew and 50 excited volunteers and event participants, made the 12-minute flight from Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport to Waterloo Wellington Flight Centre for their International Women's Day event, Girls Can Fly. Porter launched Women Soar at Porter today to promote opportunities for women in aviation; coinciding with International Women's Day on March 8. Women Soar at Porter aims to bridge the gender gap within all areas of the organization. It concentrates on three distinct groups: Pilots, Leadership, and Ground Operations.
