MIAMI, FL--(Marketwired - March 09, 2016) - Passengers throughout Miami International Airport received flowers on March 8 as the airport celebrated International Women's Day and Women's History Month. Representatives from American Airlines, the Miami-Dade Police Department and the Transportation Security Administration joined Miami-Dade Aviation Director Emilio T. González and the Association of Floral Importers of Florida (AFIF) to hand out more than 25,000 bouquets to honor and recognize women. With more than 50,000 daily passenger arrivals at MIA, nearly every woman entering Miami-Dade County via MIA had the opportunity to receive flowers.
